Restoring Financial Freedom. Rebuilding Lives.
Financial barriers can continue to impact survivors long after they have reached safety. Past exploitation, coerced debt, identity misuse, and inaccurate or harmful information reported to consumer agencies can create obstacles to housing, transportation, education, employment, and full independence.
The Credit Reclaim Project by A Seed in the Ground Foundation is a trauma-informed, 6-month cohort-based financial empowerment program designed to walk alongside survivors as they learn how to address financial barriers connected to exploitation and rebuild their financial future.
Through education, tools, and survivor-centered support, participants gain the knowledge needed to better understand their consumer reports, identify harmful information, and navigate the process of addressing adverse information with credit bureaus and secondary consumer reporting agencies.
